Master the art of voicings and use chords fluidly as the moment demands!

When playing guitar from chord names, most players rely on shapes with the root on the 6th or 5th string. But if you can also quickly grab chords where, for example, the root is on the 2nd string, your playing options expand dramatically. And if you know multiple fingerings for a single root position, that’s even more useful. Taking it a step further, being able to play forms that deliberately omit the root is a mark of an advanced guitarist.

This book helps you become a chord-voicing master by thinking in terms of “root positions” and choosing the right chord for any situation. It includes highly practical chord diagrams along with instruction on how to actually use them in real performances. With its vast collection of diagrams, it can also be used as a chord dictionary.
