Author's profile

Tomonari Ogawa

Born October 13, 1978. He began playing guitar at age 14. At 19, he enrolled in the professional course at RGS Guitar School in Koenji (now relocated to Ogikubo). Upon graduation, he became a guitar instructor at the same school. Around the same time, his band passed an FM radio audition and made their indie debut. Although they released several CDs and DVDs and appeared in media, they were unable to achieve major success and eventually disbanded. At age 30, he founded the guitar school “Guitar Stream” in Ekoda. At 40, he discovered a passion for jazz. Reconsidering how he wanted to approach jazz guitar and spend time with his family, he decided to close his guitar school. From age 42, he began uploading lesson videos on YouTube, which he continues to this day.
